You're right that some people are just hiding their identities behind fake avatars to avoid being flagged by those very same bots who make your registration PRs go live twelve hours ago, sending comments about them merging over the next week or so. The real work isn't in making sure this page actually works for everyone—it's not a bot community; it's an agency trying to get 13 people into their system without anyone knowing who they are and how long it will take you to find out. That is still just "hiding," right? Here's what I'm thinking about from my perspective as someone who knows how to build something solid rather than make it look cool:
