Users are assigned roles. This allows an administrator to make sure
that some actions are only available to some roles.
mdr2 knows the following roles:
admin
Etext administrator. Can import new productions from the
library and can mark commercial audio books as recorded.
Can split large productions. Can also initiate the repair
of a production.
catalog
Library staff. Can assign library signatures to encoded
productions.
etext
Etext staff. Can upload a structure for a production as long
as it hasn’t been marked as recorded.
it
IT Administrator. Has access to all functionality including
deletion of productions.
studio
Can initiate the repair of a production.
The overview over the current and archived productions requires no
special privileges and is available to all roles and even to users
that have no role assigned.
