Welcome to my (modest) GitHub page!
I'm Florian, a Senior Gameplay Programmer currently working at Sandfall Interactive (Montpellier, France). I previously worked at Ubisoft (Montpellier and Singapore) for 6 years. During my career, I worked on multiple proprietary game engines and with Unreal Engine 5 (long live Blueprints!).
I mainly code in C++ and Python, but I am trying new stuff and always learning. You will find here the different projects I am working and worked on. One of my lastest project is a complete Game Boy emulator, try it out here!

I had the chance to talk at GDC about my work on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you can find the video on the GDC Vault (access for members only).
At Ubisoft:
- Beyond Good and Evil 2, not released yet (maybe one day?).
- Skull & Bones, released February 13, 2024.
- Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, released October 4, 2019.
- Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, released March 7, 2017.
A few personal projects I had a lot of fun building:
- 👾 Game Boy Reborn, a cycle-accurate Nintendo Game Boy (DMG-01) emulator written in modern C++ (with SFML and Dear ImGui). Supports MBC0–5 cartridges, save states, rewind and a full built-in debugger (breakpoints, disassembly, memory, tile inspection...).
- 🎮 Pokémon Obsidian, a fan-made Pokémon game inspired by the Ruby and Sapphire versions, with modern mechanics and content. Built in Ruby with RPG Maker XP and the Pokémon SDK.
- 🔍 Pokédex AI, a machine learning app that identifies first-generation Pokémon from images. Built in Python with PyTorch and PySide6.
- 🏷️ Tag Machine, a photo auto-tagging tool that uses machine learning to detect image content and write keywords into the image metadata. Built in Python with PyTorch and PySide6.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a dark roguelike dungeon crawler inspired by
twin-stick shooters. Players control Isaac as he descends into procedurally
generated dungeons filled with enemies, items, and disturbing imagery. Known for
its challenging gameplay and massive item variety, the game offers near-endless
replayability and discovery.
